I'm trying to understand it--Budweiser is America's oldest Beer (I think--correct me if wrong. Meaning they have had lots of years to perfect the prodect and they have the best technology available --again I guess in the world)...
So WHY does Heineken taste better?
(does alcohol level have any effect at all--we don't even know Heiney's level).
This question has bugged me for a long time. Yes-I know Heineken costs more. But what American beer rivals Heineken in terms of taste?

Most Americans don't have the palette to appreciate flavourful beer. So a simple watery brew would suffice, I think it's the same reason why a show like "Arrested Development" is Cancelled but the O.C. is a huge hit.

Right KB. They probably use at least 3 times the hops as Domestic.

It is better because they use more hops, better barley, and brew it in MUCH smaller batches. And that, in turn, is why it is more expensive.

I agree it's hard to get a good buzz on the light beers?

What regular US beer has the highest Alc. %??
